Keeping a happy knowlageable hostess with a Hostess Packet of products and instructions

Communication is key when it comes to keeping a hostess happy. The hostess will be more inclined to do a good job is she knows what to expect and what is expected of her.  A good way to keep clear communication with a hostess is by creating a simple hostess packet.

  1. The first thing a hostess should see in her packet is a welcome letter. In the letter remind her of the rewards she is receiving as a hostess. Provide her with all of your contact information along with a confirmation of the time and date of the show. Remember to thank her for doing this.
  2. Add in catalogues and brochures along with order forms in order to educate the hostess on all of the products that will be shown. This allows the hostess to take advance orders as well.
  3. Provide your hostess with a enough postcards to send reminders to all the guest who will be attending the party. You can even ask for the addresses and mail them yourself in order to insure that all the information is correct and sent out on time.
  4. Let the hostess pass out business cards to all the guests at the party. Have enough business cards in the packet for each guest at the party.
  5. Create a page that explains all of the rewards options the hostess can receive from the show.
  6. Add in a potential guest list for the hostess, providing her with a list of people she should invite for the show. This list may include family, friends, co-workers, school staff etc.
  7. Include a list of party tips to help the hostess host the party. These tips will help the hostess be more prepared and therefore be less relaxed when hosting the party.
  8. Create a script to help the hostess know what to say during the party. Let her know that she shouldn’t read it flat out, but that it is there to help her out with anything she might forget during the party.
  9. Finally give your hostess product samples to try and enjoy so she can easily praise and recommend during the house party.
