Corporate Social Responsibility

C Corporation ResponsibilityCorporate social responsibility is a method that businesses take to meet or go above and beyond stakeholder expectations. They do this by incorporating social, ethical, and environmental concerns into their normal business measures. Corporate social responsibility has become so popular that major public relations firms have created specialist corporate social responsibility practice groups inside their companies.
Corporate social responsibility means a company has made a commitment to developing policies that incorporate responsible practices into daily business operations. Some corporate social responsibility policies are common among companies. Ever since the Enron scandal many companies have implemented stronger internal controls. Companies have also made a commitment to diversity in employee hiring. They have also implemented operating policies to comply with social and environmental laws. Companies are also trying to use natural resources more efficiently.
In the past few years many companies have been making efforts to integrate corporate social responsibility into their companies. Many companies release an annual report of how they are accomplishing the goals which they have set for themselves and what goals they have set to reach in the future.
