Coaching your Hostess for a Successful direct sales home party

  1. Book your parties up to 3 weeks in advance; anything sooner than that will end up with more cancellations because people do not keep their schedules that far ahead.
  2. Create a packet, including, catalogues, order forms, wish lists, information about business opportunities, and any other information in order to educate her about the party being thrown. Don’t forget to add a thank you note at the end.
  3. Ask the hostess for the guest list afterwards in order to have the names of the people who attended for sending “thank you” notes and future communications.
  4. Try to encourage the hostess to increase her outside sales by giving motivations such as free products and discounts.
  5. Make sure to get back to your hostess a couple of weeks after the booking in order to make sure she doesn’t have any last minute questions about the party.
  6. Don’t forget to publicly thank the hostess at the party and give her a free gift, that way others will be more inclined to book parties with you as well.
  7. A couple days after the party is a good time to send a thank you letter in the mail to thank her more formally.
  8. Collect all of the outside orders from the party as quickly as possible and make sure the hostess’ order comes in on time.
  9. Call the hostess after all of the gifts were delivered to make sure everyone was pleased with their orders and no complaints were made.

10.  Remember to thank your hostess again about 6 months afterwards and have her book another party in the near future giving her benefits and motives with new products.
